What’s special about parathas? Parathas are a type of flaky, buttery flatbread enriched with history and culture. The first mention of bread of this type dates to the 12th-century Sanskrit text, The Manasollasa, composed by the Kalyani Chalukya king. Enjoyed by royalty, you say? Traditionally, parathas have been eaten with a South-Asian curry or have been staple breakfast items. Today, they have evolved into a street food sensation, sold with stuffing or as a paratha roll with various flavours. Just as it can be enjoyed in many ways, there are many methods to create this wonderful paratha. Our traditional recipes and techniques were passed down from our grandmothers to our mums to us. That’s why each layer of our parathas are filled with love, care, and delicious flavour.
